ABOUT AVA

Founded in 1951 by A. Vernon Allen, our firm is one of the most established home builders in Naples — and the only original builder of Port Royal still in operation. For more than seventy years, we have shaped the architectural fabric of Florida's most distinguished coastal communities.

For four consecutive years, AVA has held approximately 25% market share of homes under construction in Port Royal and ranks among the top beachfront builders in Collier County. Our work is defined by craftsmanship, discretion, and an enduring commitment to the families we build for.

Many of our craftspeople have served the firm for 25 years or more — a depth of experience that is, today, increasingly rare.

CO-OWNER / PARTNER

RYAN BENSON

Ryan began his homebuilding career through a college internship and relocated from Toronto nearly thirty years ago. He attended Canterbury School in Fort Myers, earned a Business Administration degree from Stetson University, and an MBA from Florida International University. He joined AVA as Project Manager and Vice-President before acquiring the company with Andy Bringardner.

Ryan serves on the boards of the Collier Building Industry Association, the Florida Home Builders Association, and the National Home Builders Association. He is Vice Chairman of the Boys and Girls Club of Collier County and was recognized as a Gulfshore Business 40 Under 40 honoree. Ryan lives in Naples with his wife Jessica and four children — twins Banks and Rory, and twins Beckham and Ellie.

ANDY BRINGARDNER

Andy graduated from Barron Collier High School and Rollins College with a degree in Economics. He began his construction career with a local shell contractor before joining AVA as a Superintendent, progressing through roles as Project Manager, Estimator, and Partner. He holds certifications as a Certified General Contractor, Certified Mold Assessor, and Certified Mold Remediator.

Known for his business integrity and his emphasis on budgeting, construction quality, and client relationships, Andy is active in Leadership Collier, G.A.I.N., the Naples Chamber of Commerce, the City of Naples Design Review Board, and the Collier Building Industry Association's government affairs committee. Andy resides in Naples with his wife Allison and three children — Myles, Regan, and Colin.
